Our Commenting Principles
Be civil
Disagree with ideas, not people. Personal attacks, abuse, harassment or intimidation are not allowed.
Stay on topic
Comments should relate to the article or the subject being discussed. Repeated off-topic posting may be removed.
Do not post personal data
Do not share private addresses, phone numbers, personal documents, private messages or sensitive information about yourself or others.
No spam or manipulation
Promotional spam, repeated links, scams, impersonation, coordinated manipulation or automated comment abuse are not allowed.
Content We May Remove
UKPulse may reject, hide or remove comments that include:
- Abuse, harassment, threats or intimidation.
- Hate speech or discriminatory language.
- Spam, scams, misleading links or promotional abuse.
- Personal data, doxxing or private information.
- Defamatory, illegal or legally risky claims presented without evidence.
- Graphic, explicit or disturbing material not relevant to the article.
- Repeated off-topic comments or attempts to disrupt discussion.
- Impersonation of another person, organisation or public figure.
Moderation
Comments on UKPulse may be reviewed before publication. Moderation decisions may consider the comment text, article context, user history, abuse signals and site safety.
We may approve, reject, delete or hide comments at our discretion. Users who repeatedly break these guidelines may be restricted or banned from commenting.
Account and Sign-In
To comment, readers may be asked to sign in using a supported identity provider such as Google. This helps reduce spam and protect the quality of discussion.
UKPulse does not receive your password from Google. We may store basic profile information needed for commenting, such as name, email address and avatar, as described in our Privacy Policy.
