Up to 14 individuals were hospitalised following a Chainsmokers concert in San Jose, California, on Friday, September 4. Emergency crews responded to numerous medical calls at the outdoor event held at Discovery Meadow.
The San Jose Fire Department stated on X that they responded to over a dozen calls for assistance, with multiple attendees requiring medical attention. A total of 14 ambulances were dispatched, and 14 patients were transported to local hospitals.
Authorities did not disclose the condition of those hospitalised or whether the incidents shared a single cause. However, San Jose police informed NBC Bay Area that concertgoers received treatment for “suspected alcohol intoxication and drug-related issues.” No arrests have been reported in connection with these incidents.
The Chainsmokers have not yet commented publicly on the incident. The duo continued their US tour the following night, September 5, in Las Vegas.
