Specialist SME lender 365 Finance has appointed George Visser as its new Chief Risk Officer. Mr Visser joins the company following 11 years at Bayport Financial Services Group, where he progressed from Financial Modeller to Group Credit Executive.
In his new role, Mr Visser will lead 365 Finance’s risk function, overseeing credit risk strategy, portfolio and impairment modelling, and underwriting policy. His main objective is to ensure the company lends responsibly.
365 Finance offers merchant cash advances, also known as business cash advances, to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK and Ireland. These solutions, repaid by future debit and credit card sales, are designed to help businesses manage cash flow, with same-day funding available for amounts between £10,000 and £500,000.
Warren Abbey, CEO at 365 Finance, stated that Mr Visser's appointment comes at a time of scaling for the company, and he is already playing an important role in bolstering their risk function. Mr Visser added that he is focused on ensuring responsible lending while providing vital and fast financial support to SMEs.
