Almost 10 years after its first series was commissioned, the sixth series of the BBC Two programme, A House Through Time, is scheduled to air this month. The new series will explore the hidden history of an 18th-century house located on Calton Hill in Edinburgh.

The show's presenter, David Olusoga, expressed initial doubts about the programme's potential to succeed when filming began on the first series. However, he noted that fans frequently stop him to inquire about future series.

A House Through Time has now produced 24 hour-long episodes, delving into the histories of houses in various cities including Liverpool, Newcastle, Bristol, Leeds, London, and Berlin. The latest series marks the first time the programme has been set in Scotland.
