Hundreds of thousands of A-level students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland have received their results today, Thursday 13 August, at 08:00 BST. University applicants can also check their Ucas Hub for updates on their applications.
Students who believe their grade is incorrect should first speak to their school or college, which will contact the exam board for a review of marks. If still unsatisfied after a review, an appeal can be requested through the school or college. Further review can be sought from the exams regulator Ofqual if the student remains dissatisfied.
For those who did not achieve the required grades for university, admissions offices may still offer a place or an alternative course. The Ucas clearing process is also available for students to find courses with vacancies, and it will close on 19 October. Resitting exams is another option, with resits scheduled for May or June 2027.
