Relay, an AI-powered workflow automation tool launched in 2021, is shutting down. Its founder and CEO, Jacob Bank, along with some staff, are joining Google's Chrome team.
The company announced that access for paying customers will cease on September 14, following the loss of access for free customers on August 15. The closure was initially announced in July.
Jacob Bank, who previously worked at Google, is rejoining the tech giant as VP of Product for Google Chrome. He will lead the product and developer relations teams for Chrome, according to his LinkedIn profile. Bank stated his intention to bring his experience in building AI tools to a wider audience through Chrome, noting "ambitious plans to help you work with AI in Chrome to get things done."
