Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti has explained why he has recalled Neymar to his World Cup squad, as the forward prepares for his fourth tournament.
Neymar, 31, will be part of Ancelotti's 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar, which gets underway in November.
Ancelotti has confirmed that Neymar's experience and leadership qualities were key factors in his selection.
'Neymar is a great player, and he has a lot of experience in big tournaments,' Ancelotti said in a press conference.
'He's a leader on the pitch, and he's someone who can make a difference in the game.'
Neymar has been in sparkling form for Paris Saint-Germain this season, scoring six goals in his last six games.
However, his selection has sparked debate among Brazilian fans, with some questioning whether he is worth the risk given his injury record.
Ancelotti has insisted that Neymar's fitness is not a concern, and that he will be fit for the World Cup.
'Neymar is a player who has always been fit and available for selection,' Ancelotti said.
