Liberal MP Andrew Hastie has vowed to go "all the way" in his "fight" with One Nation leader Pauline Hanson. Mr Hastie repeated his accusation that Ms Hanson was a "lying coward" on Sunday, after she continued to refuse to remove an animated cartoon that described him as a "traitor".
Mr Hastie stated he would not back down and challenged Ms Hanson to admit she was wrong and remove the video. He also suggested that One Nation MPs Barnaby Joyce and David Farley were likely feeling "buyers' remorse" for joining the party.
Mr Joyce, who previously served as deputy prime minister, denied Mr Hastie's assumption, telling Guardian Australia it was "not correct" and defending One Nation. Mr Joyce stated he joined One Nation due to concerns that the political status quo had become "lazy and then weak".
Mr Hastie has been under political attack from One Nation for several months, with the party announcing it would target his West Australian seat of Canning. One Nation won the state seat of Secret Harbour, which overlaps his federal electorate, in a byelection last month.
