Andrew Scott stars as real-life wartime meteorologist James Stagg in the new film 'Pressure', which is currently in cinemas. The film, directed by Anthony Maras, is an adaptation of David Haig’s 2014 stage play.
Scott's performance as Stagg, who was recruited to predict the weather ahead of the Normandy landings, is highlighted. Stagg's insistence on delaying D-Day due to perilous storms leads to clashes with colleagues, including Brendan Fraser as US Army General Dwight Eisenhower and Damian Lewis as General Bernard Montgomery.
The film, which runs for 100 minutes, also features Kerry Condon and Chris Messina. It has a 12A certificate.
