Andy Robertson is on the verge of making history as he is poised to become only the second man to achieve 100 caps for Scotland in over 150 years of international football. The national captain could reach this significant milestone in Saturday's Nations League game against North Macedonia.
The Tottenham Hotspur defender is also closing in on Kenny Dalglish's all-time cap record of 102. Should Robertson, aged 32, feature in all of Scotland's remaining Nations League games this year, he could surpass Dalglish's long-standing record by November.
Robertson has been a consistent presence for Scotland since his debut in 2014 under Gordon Strachan. He was made captain by Alex McLeish in 2018 and has since led Scotland in three major finals, including the World Cup this summer.
During his 12-year international career, Robertson has played under four permanent Scotland team bosses. He has played 68 times for Steve Clarke, all as captain, and has also played twice for new boss Sebastien Pocognoli.
Robertson also tops Scotland's assist charts since his debut in 2014. He has started 97 of his 99 caps and has not missed a camp in three years.
