Artificial intelligence (AI) firm Anthropic reportedly saw its revenue surge by 45% to $16.8bn (£12.7bn) in the three months leading up to the end of September. These figures were reportedly disclosed to prospective investors on Wednesday at the company's San Francisco headquarters.
Anthropic is preparing for what is expected to be a significant share sale by the close of the year. The Claude-developer's revenue has shown consistent growth throughout 2026, rising from $4.7bn in the first three months to $11.6bn in the subsequent period.
The revenue figures from Anthropic, alongside those of competitor OpenAI, provide an indication of the AI industry's expansion and its capacity to fund the necessary infrastructure for technology development. An Anthropic spokesperson declined to comment on the figures.
