Apple is reportedly preparing to announce a new smart home hub named HomeView on Tuesday, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The device is described as Siri-powered, featuring a display and an A18 chip, designed to allow users to control other smart home devices.
The HomeView is expected to be available in two models, with one intended for countertops and the other for wall mounting. This announcement would represent Apple's most significant venture into the smart home market to date, following previous efforts with its HomeKit software framework and HomePod smart speaker.
Gurman also reports that Apple plans to unveil updated versions of the Apple TV set-top box and the HomePod mini on Tuesday. Earlier this week, he stated that Apple intends to announce a partnership with LG for a smart lock, a thermostat, and a doorbell.
