A unique asthma clinic, situated 250 metres deep within an active salt mine in Armenia, is facing an uncertain future after the country withdrew its state funding.
Patients at the clinic descend deep underground each morning, spending six hours in chambers carved from rock salt. They hope that the subterranean air will help them to breathe more easily.
