Art Garfunkel has postponed his upcoming UK tour, which was set to begin next week, after being diagnosed with a respiratory infection. The Simon & Garfunkel singer was due to bring his 'What A Wonderful World' tour to Watford, Manchester, Wolverhampton, and London.
All four performances have been postponed. Garfunkel, 84, stated that a visit to his doctor during rehearsals led to the diagnosis. He said his doctor advised him to rest and recover.
Garfunkel expressed his sadness at the postponement, stating, "My heart is broken that I must postpone these performances." He added that he expects to return to the stage once his health allows.
The affected dates included October 13 at the Watford Colosseum, October 15 at Manchester's Opera House, October 17 at the University of Wolverhampton at The Civic Hall, and October 19 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Venues are currently working to reschedule these performances, and ticket holders should keep their tickets.
