Attempted murder arrest after three pedestrians hit by car in Bristol

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous driving after three pedestrians were hit by a car in Bristol's Stokes Croft area.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous driving after three pedestrians were struck by a car in Stokes Croft, Bristol. The incident followed reports of a disturbance in the area.

Avon and Somerset Police stated the incident took place at approximately 06:30 BST. One of the pedestrians was transported to hospital, though their injuries are not thought to be as serious as initially believed. The other two individuals did not sustain serious injuries.

The man police believe to be the driver of the car received treatment for facial injuries following his arrest. Roads including Thomas Street, Hepburn Road, Stokes Croft, and City Road are currently closed as police conduct enquiries. Bristol Supt Matt Ebbs reassured the public that there is no perceived wider threat and appealed for anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage to contact officers.
