The Audi A6 Avant E-Tron, an electric estate, is now on sale with prices starting from £62,590. Choosing the Avant model adds an extra £1,800 to the price. This electric vehicle shares its 800-volt Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture with the Audi Q6 E-Tron SUV and the latest Porsche Macan.
Audi offers two battery pack options for the A6 E-Tron: an 83kWh pack with 75.8kWh usable capacity, and a 100kWh pack with 94.9kWh usable capacity. Depending on the battery and specification, the car's quoted efficiency figure of 4.0-4.2 miles per kWh translates to a range of between 428 and 443 miles. The lithium-ion battery supports a maximum charging speed of 270kW, which could allow a 10-80 percent charge in 21 minutes.
The A6 E-Tron is available in both Sportback (five-door hatchback) and Avant (estate) body styles. The Avant model has a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.24, while the Sportback version is more aerodynamic with a Cd of 0.21. Inside, the A6 E-Tron features multiple digital displays, and the boot offers 502 litres of space, expanding to 1,422 litres with the rear seats folded down.
