England clinched a T20 series win over Sri Lanka in Cardiff with a six-wicket victory, extending their dominant run to 14 consecutive T20 wins against the side. This follows their 119-run triumph in Southampton on Tuesday, making it another one-sided contest.

Tom Banton led the charge with an unbeaten 52 runs from just 24 balls, featuring two fours and four sixes, as England comfortably reached their target of 145-9 with 7.5 overs remaining. The win gives England an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Sri Lanka, despite a strong start reaching 56 without loss in the powerplay, saw their innings falter. Liam Dawson was instrumental for England, taking 3-32, while Jamie Overton claimed 2-23 and Sonny Baker recorded economical figures of 1-15 from four overs. Jos Buttler also made history during his cameo, becoming the first player to reach 15,000 T20 runs.
