A Beatles fan has created an 80-minute remix album of Koji Kondo’s soundtrack for The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. The album, titled 'The Entire Ocarina Of Time Soundtrack If The Beatles Made It', integrates new vocals by using words and phrases from The Beatles and their various side projects.
Creator RednasVGM stated on YouTube that the project was a tribute to both Ocarina Of Time, which was a significant part of their upbringing, and The Beatles. The album took almost 18 months to complete and was made without the use of AI. Many tracks begin with the band announcing themselves before narrating in-game events.
Later this year, Nintendo plans to release a “reborn” version of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time for the Switch 2. This follows their remake of Star Fox 64. Nintendo boss Shigeru Miyamoto defended the remakes, explaining they allow younger audiences to experience older games and contribute to future developments.
