Jacob Bethell is included in England's white-ball squad for the upcoming tour of Australia, marking his return from a knee injury sustained in July. The tour will feature three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and five T20 matches.
Young prospects Thomas Rew, an 18-year-old Somerset wicketkeeper-batter, and Eddie Jack, a 21-year-old Hampshire pace bowler, have received their first international call-ups. Rew and Jack were awarded development central contracts on Monday.
The ODI squad is described as near full-strength, with Jofra Archer returning to the pace attack. However, wicketkeeper Jos Buttler is absent due to hamstring surgery. England's white-ball coach, Brendon McCullum, had previously stated his intention to field a strong team for the ODI leg of the trip in preparation for next year's World Cup in southern Africa.
Changes have been made for the T20 series, with several players rested ahead of a Test tour of South Africa. The tour is scheduled to begin with the first ODI in Perth on 13 November and conclude with the final T20 in Canberra on 2 December.
