Marco Bezzecchi triumphed at the Indonesian Grand Prix today, with Jorge Martin finishing third to retake the lead in the MotoGP world championship from Marc Marquez. Italian rider Bezzecchi overtook pole-sitter Raul Fernandez with nine laps remaining at the Mandalika International Circuit.
Fernandez, who fractured his index finger in Saturday's sprint race, finished second ahead of his compatriot Martin. The Spanish duo secured a podium lockout for Italian manufacturer Aprilia.
Reigning seven-time world champion Marc Marquez of Ducati finished sixth, losing the championship lead he had gained by winning Saturday's sprint race. Martin now leads the standings with 355 points, followed by Marquez on 353 and Bezzecchi in third with 309.
