Plans for a significant regeneration scheme, which aims to deliver up to 3,500 homes, have been reopened for public consultation. This follows the cancellation of the original outline planning consent, which was granted in October 2025.
The 20-year project, a collaboration between Birmingham City Council and developer Lovell, will now return to the Planning Committee for a new decision later this year. Residents are being given another chance to comment on the proposals before this.
Revised plans for the scheme include an increased proportion of social rented housing, rising from 11.4% to 20% of the proposed homes. The wider commitment for at least 51% of homes to be affordable once the project is complete remains.
Existing council tenants in the regeneration area will be offered replacement homes, and homeowners will receive a financial package to help them stay locally. The proposals also feature new and improved open spaces, play areas, and recreational facilities.
This marks the third formal consultation period for the application. The consultation is open from 7 September until 7 October 2026, and residents can make further representations.
