Mid-tier accountancy and advisory firm BKL has acquired Dales Evans, a specialist music accountancy firm. This move is intended to strengthen BKL's focus on the music, media, and entertainment sector within London.
BKL, which provides tax, accounting, and business advisory services, already serves multi-platinum recording artists, touring musicians, independent record labels, and music managers. The acquisition is expected to further expand this portfolio.
Tim Gazzard, music, media, sport and entertainment partner at BKL, stated that Dales Evans brings strong relationships within the sector. Lee Brook, BKL's chief executive, added that Dales Evans' reputation and experience will enhance BKL's ability to deliver advice to clients in this specialist area.
This acquisition is BKL's fifth since it received investment from private equity firm CBPE in 2023. It follows a merger with music-focused accountancy boutique Alan Heywood in 2024.
