Bloom, a Detroit-based startup, has announced a $3.6 million seed funding round. The investment was led by SNAK Venture Partners, with additional participation from Flyover Capital, Mana Ventures, Detroit Venture Partners, Invest Detroit Ventures, and the Michigan Outdoor Innovation Fund.
Co-founded in 2023 by CEO Justin Kosmides, Bloom initially aimed to support the mobility industry. The company has since shifted to a pure marketplace model, focusing on connecting buyers and sellers within the manufacturing sector. It now uses AI agents to help customers find specific types of suppliers, parts, or manufacturing and engineering services.
Bloom has reportedly made over 2,000 matches for more than 140 companies. The platform handles quoting, booking, and payment, and assists with contract manufacturing, assembly, design, freight, warehousing, repairs, and hazardous-materials shipping.
