A 15-year-old boy has appeared in Wellingborough Youth Court, charged with multiple sexual offences against eight girls. The complainants were aged between 10 and 15 at the time of the alleged incidents. According to court records, the teenager faces 22 charges, including rape, sexual assault, and making indecent photographs.
The alleged offences took place between 2023 and 2025. However, specific locations have been withheld to protect the alleged victims' right to anonymity. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was accompanied by his mother during the 20-minute hearing.
District Judge Amar Mehta sent the case to Northampton Crown Court, citing its seriousness. The defendant was released on bail with conditions, including not contacting the alleged victims and having no unsupervised contact with females under 16.
The boy spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth, and address, and also asked the judge to explain the Youth Justice Service. He will next appear in court on 18 August at Northampton Crown Court.
