Brentford have climbed to third in the Premier League following an impressive 3-0 victory over Chelsea. The Bees found the back of the net through Jaidon Anthony, Igor Thiago, and substitute Fabio Carvalho, extending Chelsea's winless league streak to three matches.
Igor Thiago, who had been on a four-game goalless run, sealed the victory with a late strike, visibly lifting a weight off his shoulders. Jaidon Anthony scored the opener, responding well after missing an earlier chance in the second half. Fabio Carvalho, coming on as a substitute, ghosted in nicely to add a late goal.
Chelsea's Cole Palmer was noted as their best player, with much of their attacking play flowing through him, though he was unable to produce a decisive moment. Danny Welbeck, making his first Premier League start for Chelsea, was withdrawn in the 72nd minute, having not done enough to compensate for the absence of injured striker Joao Pedro.
