Brian Eno has announced the relaunch of his Opal Records label this year, alongside the reissue of two of his albums: 'Another Day On Earth' and 'Drawn From Life'. The label, established in 1988, was put on hiatus in 1991 to allow Eno to focus on his own musical work.
'Another Day On Earth', released in 2005, and 'Drawn From Life', a 2001 collaboration with J. Peter Schwalm, have been largely unavailable outside of Japan for close to two decades. Both albums will now be accessible with their reissues.
To mark the reissues, two previously unreleased live performance videos have been shared: 'Caught Between' from 'Another Day On Earth', filmed in Porto in 2001, and 'Persis' from 'Drawn From Life', recorded at Fuji Rock Festival in 2001. Each re-release is scheduled to arrive on October 16, with one per cent of sales proceeds from Opal records to be donated to Earth Percent.
