Bristol's first Youth Guarantee Jobs Fair saw over 900 young people engage with some of the UK's largest businesses to explore jobs, apprenticeships, training, and work experience. The fair, held today, 11 September 2026, promoted opportunities from 40 businesses across various industries, including aerospace, manufacturing, hospitality, and construction.

During the event, 193 interviews were secured as employers provided live updates on vacancies and recruitment processes. Attendees also received advice on job searching, application completion, and interview preparation. Google hosted a workshop to help jobseekers understand how to use AI to enhance their CVs, prepare for interviews, and plan career goals.

The Jobs Fair is part of the Government's broader youth employment support, which is backed by a £2.5 billion investment. This initiative aims to help young people build strong career paths. Youth Guarantee Jobs Fairs have previously been held in Blackpool, Glasgow, Cardiff, London, and Leeds, resulting in over 1000 young people moving into jobs, work experiences, or training opportunities.
