A passenger on a British Airways flight has been charged with being drunk on an aircraft and disobeying the orders of the captain. This follows an incident at Heathrow Airport on Thursday, 6 August, where police were called to an outbound plane.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they responded to reports of a disruptive passenger at around 5:30 pm. The individual was escorted from the aircraft.

A viral video, reportedly filmed on flight BA275 to Las Vegas, appears to show a female flight attendant restraining a visibly angry man. The attendant is heard telling the passenger to "stay seated" and warning, "I will be restraining you, sir, if you don't stay seated."

British Airways stated that disruptive or abusive behaviour is never tolerated and that the safety of customers and crew is their highest priority. Flight data indicates that BA275, which was due to depart at 5:15 pm, did not leave for Las Vegas until nearly 8:30 pm that day.
