British wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac, has died at the age of 40, his representatives have confirmed. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced they were "saddened to announce the passing" of Satterley, who had signed with them in 2019.
Satterley's death was confirmed just a day after he took part in AEW's "All Out" event in Chicago on Saturday evening. No cause of death has been provided.
A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and performed for organisations globally, including World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, prior to AEW. He held multiple AEW Championships and competed in what the organisation described as "some of the most memorable matches in AEW history".
Tributes have been paid to Satterley, with WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman describing his death as a "truly terrible loss" and calling him a "tremendous talent and even finer human being". AEW President Tony Khan said Satterley "defined excellence" as a husband, friend, and in his wrestling knowledge, skill and "unprecedented athleticism".
