Hannah Klugman, the 17-year-old British tennis player, has been defeated in the second round of the Nottingham Open by Marie Bouzkova. Despite losing 7-5 6-2, Klugman sees the match as a valuable learning experience.
After beating compatriot Harriet Dart on Tuesday to secure her first WTA Tour win, Klugman made an impressive start against Bouzkova, who is ranked 27th in the world. However, she faded in the second set, finishing with 45 unforced errors to 29 winners and committing nine double faults.
Klugman's defeat has not dampened her spirits, as she feels that she has gained valuable experience from playing against top players. She has been practising with some great players and is ready to build on it.
'Getting to play matches against players in the top 150 or 200 was a great learning experience for me,' Klugman said. 'My coach has been saying how much this is going to help me improve.'
