Bullets were found lodged in a wall and a microwave after shots were fired at a home in Pyle, Bridgend, a jury at Cardiff Crown Court has heard. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of 22 September 2025, reportedly targeted a young child, though the shots hit the wrong house.

A woman and her son were asleep inside the property at the time of the shooting but were not injured. Footage shown to the jury depicted two men firing a 9mm pistol at the house before leaving on an electric motorbike.

The court heard that the shooting was carried out in retaliation against alleged drug dealer Daniel O'Callaghan, as the gang believed he had taken drugs from a hiding place in Guernsey. The jury was told the gang dealt drugs, including cocaine and ecstasy, in the Channel Islands and across south Wales.

Kian Darkes and Daniel Clarke, both 21 and from the Bridgend area, have admitted to having a firearm and ammunition in a public place. However, they deny possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. Kyle Long, 40, and Callum Pearson, 24, deny conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent, while Jade Evans, 40, denies three counts of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug.
