Cancer Bats are set to explode onto UK stages this October with an electrifying 17-date headline tour that promises to bring a sonic storm to every corner of the country. Dubbed the Marshall 'Made Of Loud' tour, the whirlwind run will see the Canadian hardcore punk stalwarts tearing up some of the nation's most iconic venues, supported by special guests Ignite and Knives for all performances.
The tour is a real treat for fans, with Cancer Bats kicking off on October 12 at The Booking Hall in Dover and building towards an unforgettable Halloween special at London's Electric Brixton on October 31. Other standout stops include Brighton's Chalk, Bristol's The Fleece, Manchester's Gorilla, and Glasgow's King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut – each one guaranteed to deliver the high-octane energy that has become synonymous with Cancer Bats live shows.
But this isn't just a tour; it's a statement of intent from a band that's been refining their sound and pushing the boundaries of hardcore punk since their inception. Their eighth studio album, 'Give Me Dirt', marks a new chapter in their journey, released on August 7 via Marshall Records – their first collaboration with the label.
Produced by Kurt Ballou alongside Zach Weeks at God City Studios in Salem, Massachusetts, 'Give Me Dirt' showcases the current line-up of Liam Cormier, Mike Peters, Jaye Schwarzer, and Jackson Landry, who have been cooking up a new sound that's sure to leave fans breathless. The band has already given us a glimpse into their latest material with the infectious single 'Stay Stuck', complete with a video directed by Mitch Barnes – one of those songs that instantly gets stuck in your head.
For frontman Liam Cormier, 'Stay Stuck' represents everything that Cancer Bats are about: 'classic bouncy fun element' and unbridled energy. The song is just one of many highlights from the new album, which follows their 2022 release 'Psychic Jailbreak'. And while this tour marks a fresh start for the band, it's also a chance to reflect on their evolution – particularly following the departure of founding guitarist Scott Middleton prior to 'Psychic Jailbreak'.
Before Cancer Bats take centre stage for their Marshall 'Made Of Loud' tour, they'll be joining the likes of Rats On Rafts and Boston Manor at the 2000trees festival in Cheltenham in July. Tickets for the tour are on sale now – get ready to experience the raw power and unbridled enthusiasm that is Cancer Bats live!
