The Carabao Cup second-round draw is set to take place tonight, Monday 10 August, live on Sky Sports Main Event. The draw will happen during the build-up to the Plymouth vs Exeter match, the final game of the first round, at approximately 7:20pm BST.

Eight Premier League teams will enter the competition at this stage. These include Brentford, Chelsea, Fulham, Newcastle, Everton, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, and Tottenham. Chelsea, who failed to qualify for Europe last season, are noted as a headline act, with manager Xabi Alonso reportedly aiming for silverware in his debut season. Tottenham also join the draw after avoiding relegation in the 2025/26 season.

Thirty-eight EFL sides advanced from the first round, including West Ham, Wolves, and Burnley, who were all relegated from the Premier League last season. West Ham defeated Portsmouth 3-1, Wolves beat Port Vale 3-0, and Burnley progressed past Notts County after penalties. The second round will maintain its regionalised format, with the draw split into northern and southern sections. The matches for this round are scheduled to be played in the week commencing 24 August.
