Cardiff maintained their promising start to the United Rugby Championship (URC) campaign, securing a 40-27 home victory against Zebre with a six-try performance. This win follows their opening weekend success against Scarlets.
Wing Tom Bowen crossed the try line twice, with additional scores coming from lock Teddy Williams, prop Javan Sebastian, number eight Taine Basham, and flanker Alex Mann. Cardiff established a significant lead, reaching 40-8 midway through the second half.
Despite Cardiff's dominance, Zebre mounted a late comeback, scoring three tries in the final 21 minutes through replacements Giacomo Ferrari and Giacomo Da Re, and centre Giulio Bertaccini. Hooker Francisco Minervino also scored for the Italian side in the first half.
The match was played in front of 7,231 spectators at the Arms Park. Cardiff will next face defending champions Leinster in Dublin next Saturday.
