Cardiff City defender Krystian Bielik has been handed a two-game ban and a £10,000 fine by the Football Association (FA) after admitting a misconduct charge. The 28-year-old Poland international was involved in an altercation with Portsmouth fans during Cardiff's 2-0 Championship loss at Portsmouth on Saturday, 5 September.

The FA charge alleged that Bielik acted improperly around the 71st minute of the fixture. An independent Regulatory Commission imposed the sanctions after a hearing, with the written reasons for its decisions to be published later.

Bielik is now set to miss Cardiff's upcoming Championship trip to Blackburn Rovers this Saturday, followed by the home game against Watford on Tuesday, 13 October. A Hampshire Police investigation into the incident concluded that no further action was required on their part, though Bielik did provide an apology as part of the resolution.
