Ireland's Leona Maguire, who had a strong round of 63 on Saturday, finished tied for fifth place, five shots off Alexander's winning score. Maguire's closing round of 68 saw her equal the best result for an Irish golfer at their home event.

The 27-year-old Alexander, who also won the Czech Open in 2025, expressed her excitement at lifting the trophy after four second-place finishes this year. She told Sky Sports that winning golf tournaments is the best way to achieve her goal of topping the Order of Merit.
