Wimbledon fever is gripping the All England Club once more! British tennis sensations Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool are still on a roll, firing their way into the quarter-finals of the men's doubles competition. The third-seeded duo put in a gritty performance to knock out Czech-Austrian pair Petr Nouza and Neil Oberleitner 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 on Sunday – showing they have what it takes to go all the way.
Last year's champions were on fire, reliving their 2025 magic when they became the first all-British pair in 89 years to lift the coveted men's doubles trophy. Beating Rinky Hijikata and David Pel in a nail-biting final still gives them the edge of experience – and it seems this duo is hungrier than ever for more success.
But the real test lies ahead. Cash and Glasspool are set to face sixth seeds Marcelo Arevalo (El Salvador) and Mate Pavic (Croatia), a formidable pairing that will put their partnership, skill and determination to the ultimate test. Can they conquer this Everest of a challenge? The nation is on the edge of its seat as they battle for a semi-final spot.
Not everyone was so fortunate in the doubles department, though. Fifth seeds Neal Skupski and his American partner Christian Harrison got knocked out by unseeded pair Thanasi Kokkinakis and Aleksandar Kovacevic, losing 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-5). Meanwhile, another British ace, Skupski, suffered defeat in the mixed doubles alongside Desirae Krawczyk – their sixth seeded pairing was no match for Mate Pavic and Hungary's Fanny Stollar. Lloyd Glasspool also bid farewell to his mixed doubles campaign with Canadian partner Leylah Fernandez, going down 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-3 against Harrison and China's Zhang Shuai.
