CCTV images released after man injured in Milton Keynes sword incident

Thames Valley Police have released CCTV images following an incident in Milton Keynes where a man was injured by a suspect reportedly carrying a samurai sword.

  • A 49-year-old man sustained a head cut and three cracked ribs.
  • The incident occurred on North Ninth Street, Milton Keynes, around 9:15 PM BST on Thursday.
  • Police are appealing for witnesses and information regarding the man pictured in the CCTV images.

Thames Valley Police have issued CCTV images in connection with an incident in Milton Keynes where a man was injured after a suspect reportedly threatened members of the public with a samurai sword.

The incident took place on North Ninth Street at approximately 9:15 PM BST on Thursday. Police stated that the suspect was carrying a weapon, concealed in his waistband, and was making threats.

Members of the public reportedly restrained the suspect, preventing further harm. A 49-year-old man suffered a cut to his head and three cracked ribs, but has since been discharged from hospital.

Investigating officer PC Jordan Buchanan-Kay has appealed for witnesses or anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images to come forward, believing he may have vital information.
