Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin has confirmed he will stand for a fourth term as the head of European football's governing body. He announced his decision to delegates at a meeting of all 55 national association chiefs in Berlin.
This move reverses his previous insistence in February 2024 that he would not seek re-election. Ceferin, who was first elected in 2016, had been involved in a dispute over Uefa changing its statutes to permit a fourth term.
Ceferin has stated he will not stand against Fifa president Gianni Infantino. However, he is committed to finding a candidate for the Fifa presidential election in March that the sport can support.
