Chanel has experienced a 16% growth in the first half of 2026, according to figures reported by Bloomberg. This comes as Matthieu Blazy marks one year in his role as artistic director for the privately held company.
The brand now occupies the top position in the Lyst index, which monitors demand and engagement across search and social media platforms. Blazy, the sole fashion designer featured in Vanity Fair’s list of the world’s 50 most powerful people this month, expressed satisfaction with the brand's current standing, stating, “It’s a good start,” and “I am happy with where we are at.”
Blazy's recent Paris show featured bold colours and patterns, moving away from a quiet luxury aesthetic. The show included a stage set with 95 giant white birds and a soundtrack featuring Nicole Kidman reading from Virginia Woolf.
