Chessington World of Adventures has closed for the day today, 10 August 2026, following a burst water main that has cut supplies to parts of south-west London. Thames Water confirmed a burst on Leatherhead Road has impacted customers in the KT9 area.
Thames Water has a specialist team on site carrying out repairs. The company stated that most customers should have their water supply back to normal by 13:20 BST, with temporary measures in place until a permanent repair is completed. Some customers may experience low pressure for a short period as the flow returns to normal.
A spokesperson for Chessington World of Adventures said the attraction is closed today due to operational disruption. Guests with tickets for 10 August will have them revalidated for a future date. Those unable to return on another day are advised to contact the resort's help centre for a refund.
