Chris Smalling, the 36-year-old defender, is actively looking for a new club after returning to the north west of England with his family. Smalling, who has made 580 club appearances across three countries and earned 31 England caps, was an ever-present for Al-Fayha in the Saudi Pro-League last season.
Smalling stated he understands his body better now than when he was 26, attributing his current playing form to this knowledge. He highlighted the importance of recovery and diet between training sessions, including changes to his supplements based on genetics testing.
His career journey began in non-league football with Maidstone before an offer from Fulham led to a professional contract. Smalling later signed for Manchester United, where he played under Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho, also winning trophies with Roma.
