Italian club Como have secured the services of defender Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea in a deal valued at over £30 million. The 27-year-old centre-back has committed to a five-year contract with Cesc Fabregas' side.
Chelsea are set to receive an initial £25.7 million for the transfer, with an additional £5.1 million potentially available through add-ons. Chalobah departs his boyhood club after nearly two decades, having joined Chelsea as a child.
Fabregas, who briefly played alongside Chalobah at Stamford Bridge, expressed his satisfaction with the signing. He stated, "Trevoh is an important signing for us and a player who represents the level of ambition we have at this club." Chalobah himself shared his excitement, saying, "I'm thrilled and honored to be here at Como: it's an ambitious, rising project, and working with manager Cesc Fabregas again is truly special."
The England international made 151 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, securing five trophies, including the FA Cup in 2018 and the Conference League in 2025. Como achieved Champions League qualification last season by finishing fourth in Serie A.
