  • Comp AI announced a $34 million Series A funding round led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures.
  • The company's platform uses AI agents to automate security and compliance tasks, such as drafting policies and collecting audit evidence.
  • Comp AI also offers AI-powered penetration testing to proactively identify vulnerabilities in codebases and infrastructures.

Comp AI, a cybersecurity and compliance startup, announced on Thursday that it has raised $34 million in Series A funding. The investment round was led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures.

The company, founded last January by Lewis Carhart (CEO), Claudio Fuentes (COO), and Mariano Fuentes (CTO), is developing an agentic platform designed to automate security and compliance work. This includes using AI agents to help write company security policies and gather evidence for security audits, as well as continuously monitoring compliance controls.

Comp AI also provides AI-powered penetration testing, which proactively tests codebases and infrastructures for vulnerabilities. The company stated that the new capital from this Series A round is intended to support product expansion. To date, Comp AI has raised a total of $37.5 million in funding.

Why this matters: The rapid adoption of AI by companies is creating a need for continuous security and compliance platforms, which Comp AI aims to address.
