Data centre developer Crusoe has reportedly raised a new $3 billion funding round, pushing its valuation to $30 billion. This development was reported by Bloomberg.

The funding round was reportedly co-led by Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners. Mubadala Capital, the asset management subsidiary of Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund, also participated.

This fundraise follows Crusoe reportedly signing a significant $13 billion, five-year cloud contract with quantitative trading firm Jane Street. The contract is for supplying GPUs and AI infrastructure.

Crusoe, which lists Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI among its customers, previously raised $1.38 billion at a $10 billion valuation in October last year. The company, which began as a crypto mining operation, has transitioned into a major AI infrastructure and cloud provider.

Last month, Axios reported that Crusoe met with investment bankers, including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, to discuss a potential near-term initial public offering (IPO).
