Crystal Palace are in talks to re-sign Ivory Coast forward Evann Guessand on a season-long loan from Aston Villa. The 25-year-old previously spent the latter half of last season at Selhurst Park, where he was part of the squad that secured the Conference League title in May.
Guessand initially joined Aston Villa in August last year in a £26m transfer. He scored two goals in 21 appearances across all competitions before moving to Palace in January. During his time at Palace, he scored his first Premier League goal in a 1-0 victory over Wolves and featured in the Conference League final win against Rayo Vallecano.
He also earned a Europa League winner's medal after playing for Villa earlier in the season before Unai Emery's team went on to win the trophy. Guessand made two substitute appearances for the Ivory Coast at this summer's World Cup. He returned to Villa for pre-season after Palace did not exercise an option to sign him earlier in the summer.
