Crystal Palace's owners have valued the club at £900m and engaged the Raine Group to explore options for investment or a potential sale, City AM reports. This valuation is more than double the reported £190m at which Woody Johnson acquired 43 per cent of the club just over a year ago.
Owners Woody Johnson, Josh Harris, David Blitzer, and chairman Steve Parish believe the £900m valuation is justified by rising sports team valuations, the scarcity of London Premier League clubs, and Palace's recent success in the Conference League.
Sources close to the club indicate that investment, rather than a full sale, is the priority. This comes as plans to renovate Selhurst Park, including a new main stand and an increase in capacity from 25,000 to 34,000, have stalled due to financing issues. Chairman Steve Parish stated last week that the club does not yet have all the funding in place for the project, with costs having increased.
