Dana White has once again reacted strongly to questions regarding his involvement in the production of the highly anticipated Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua heavyweight bout. This follows Eddie Hearn's latest dismissal of White's claims.
White, backed by Saudi matchmaker Turki Alalshikh, and his Zuffa Boxing stable, assert their involvement in the fight's production for the Netflix broadcast. However, Hearn, whose Matchroom Boxing promotes Joshua, continues to state that any claims by White regarding production or promotion are contrary to contractual obligations.
The two have been at odds throughout the process. White previously suggested a deal for the fight at Madison Square Garden in New York, before it was confirmed for Cardiff's Principality Stadium. Hearn has also criticised White for missing the London launch press conference for the fight, which Hearn attributed to White's commitment to a UFC Contender Series event.
Following a recent edition of the Contender Series, White reiterated his stance to a journalist, stating, "I am producing the fight. I am promoting the fight. I will be there at the fight." He also defended his absence from the London press conference, citing his decade-long attendance record at the Contender Series.
