Actor Danny Dyer has delivered a petition to Downing Street advocating for the nationalisation of water companies. This action followed a protest where Dyer and Sittingbourne and Sheppey MP Kieran McKenna sailed a large poo sculpture down the River Thames.

The protest aimed to bring the water industry into public ownership. Dyer, who operates a caravan park on the Isle of Sheppey, previously participated in a local sewage protest in Leysdown in September.

The petition, initiated by campaigners SOS Whitstable, has garnered nearly 350,000 signatures. Prime Minister Andy Burnham has previously expressed a desire for "greater public control" over the water and energy sectors.
