A Databricks survey on its certification programme suggests that certified professionals lift partner delivery capacity, customer credibility, and AI readiness well beyond the individuals who earn the credential.
Respondents consistently reported stronger expertise across Lakehouse architecture, AI, data engineering, and machine learning, as well as greater confidence to take on larger responsibilities. Many described becoming the go-to Databricks resource at their organisations after completing certification pathways.
For partner organisations, the survey found that certification translated into faster, more effective project delivery, stronger bench strength, and greater customer confidence. Several respondents noted that certification strengthened customer trust and improved credibility during client conversations.
One of the strongest themes was a shift from AI experimentation to AI execution. Respondents who completed AI, machine learning, and advanced data engineering certifications frequently reported a deeper grasp of AI architectures, governance practices, and modern data platforms. The survey noted that 70 percent of the Fortune 500 relies on Databricks.
